The Aviation Science and Technology Museum was established on the third floor of Haikou Aviation Tourism City with an investment of nearly 30 million yuan by Haikou Meilan International Airport. It covers an area of 1,319 square meters and is an aviation museum with Hainan local characteristics that integrates aviation science popularization, real-life experience, and educational entertainment. It is currently the only aviation science popularization education base set up in an airport in China.
The Aviation Museum features twelve exhibition areas, organized along a chronological path, from the origins of aircraft to the future of aviation. The museum also features a professional interactive flight simulator, interactive somatosensory games, a large passenger aircraft escape system, a 360-degree dome theater, and other entertainment facilities, making aviation science education more engaging and entertaining.
