The new bridge was completed, and Dajing Road was paved with asphalt that same year. The graceful appearance of the Jingang Bridge left a deep impression on visitors at the time. Viewed from the front and side, it possesses both softness and strength, emptiness and solidity; the arches open and contract, sparse and dense; the view rises and falls, stagnant and flowing. The bold patterns adorning the bridgehead and railings were a prominent landmark on the Haihe River at the time.
