
Shenxianju, a famous ancient mountain also known as Weiqiang Mountain, is located in Xianju County, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. Its unique geological structure is the world's largest cluster of volcanic rhyolite landforms. Every mountain, river, cliff, cave, rock, and peak is unique, forming six unique wonders: Guanyin, Tathagata, Tianmu Peak, Sea of Clouds, Waterfall, and Tadpole Script. The mountain is dotted with bamboo forests and waterfalls, preserving its pristine wildness.
Every year between May and June and September and October (peak bloom in June), the lavender fields at the north entrance of the Shenxianju Scenic Area gradually bloom, creating a truly beautiful sight. Zhang Jizhong's version of the TV series "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," the film "The Forbidden Kingdom," and the new version of "The Legend of the White-Haired Witch" were all filmed at Shenxianju.
