A native of Xingtai, Hebei Province, the memorial hall is located in Dahuquan Park in Xingtai, Hebei Province. The main building is designed in the Ming and Qing Dynasty garden style, creating an elegant and picturesque environment. The hall features a bronze statue of Guo Shoujing, an observatory, four exhibition halls, an astronomical observatory, a youth science activity room, and an exhibition on the life and achievements of Guo Shoujing.
The exhibition hall features replicas of large instruments created or used by Guo Shoujing, including a simple instrument, armillary sphere, and equatorial sundial. Sand tables and scenes showcasing Guo Shoujing's achievements in astronomical observation and water conservancy, such as the Xingzhou and Dadu flood control projects, and the Space Square. As a national youth science and technology education base, it offers a great place for children's enlightenment.
