The Nong'an Ancient Pagoda is located in Changchun, Jilin Province. It is located at the west gate of Nong'an Town, Nong'an County, 70 kilometers northwest of Changchun. It is also known as the "Buddhist Pagoda, Liao Pagoda, and Golden Pagoda."
Nong'an County was the seat of Huanglong Prefecture during the Jin Dynasty. The Liao and Jin dynasties were the most prosperous periods in the area's history, leaving behind numerous historical relics, with the Liao Dynasty pagoda being the most representative.
Two bronze Buddhas, a wooden round urn, a cloth bag for ashes (containing relics), a porcelain incense box, a porcelain incense burner, a small silver round box, and a silver plaque with a single-line engraved Buddha image were found in a brick chamber on the tower.
Among them, the porcelain incense boxes and porcelain incense burners are extremely exquisite and are precious materials for studying Liao Dynasty porcelain.
The tower was built between 983 and 1030 AD. It is made of solid bricks, has an octagonal structure with 13 floors and is nearly 40 meters high.
There are brick-carved brackets and eight-sided pot doors under the eaves. The tower body tapers layer by layer, and the top of the tower reaches the sky.
