Xianhu Lake, the largest wetland in northern Zhejiang, is home to flocks of cranes and herons, and a variety of rare waterfowl, either roaming or perched on the surface. Precious swans have also made their home here. The poplar forests nestled in the water are a rare spectacle, earning it the nickname "the Amazon of the East."
