Golden Cave, formerly known as Black Cave, is located at the boundary of Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan and Guizhou, 60 kilometers away from the Lixian section of the provincial highway connecting National Highway 318 and National Highway 209. It is between the two famous tourist attractions of Tenglong Cave, the world's largest karst cave, and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

According to cave experts both in China and abroad, this cave was formed before the Jurassic period, making it 150 million years old. Its entrance, carved into a thousand-foot-high cliff, exudes a mysterious and precarious atmosphere. A massive waterfall cascades from above, illuminating the cave in crimson sunlight. The Tangyan River, which flows 3,800 miles back through the Wujiang River and into the Yangtze River, flows through the lower levels of the cave, creating a striking contrast. The main cave of Huangjin Cave has been explored for a total length of 8,000 meters and comprises seven levels: the Water Dragon Cave, the Dragon Horse Cave, the Spring Cave, the Shenfo Cave, the Jade Dragon Cave, the Flying Swallow Cave, and the Soul-Changing Cave. The main cave also contains countless branch caves. Within the caves, large and small, stalagmites stand in a myriad of shapes and forms, resembling gods and immortals. These magnificent buildings and jade pavilions create a unique world of their own. There are over 200 designated scenic spots across six scenic areas. This is a vast and ancient karst cave wonder.
