Introducing Water Temple
Located on the shores of Lake Bratan in Bali, Indonesia, this temple, built in 1663 in a semi-Hindu, semi-Buddhist style, is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the lake goddess and the main water source for central Bali. It is one of Bali's most distinctive temples, built entirely on water.
Ulun Danu Temple is the only Balinese attraction featured on Indonesian rupiah banknotes. Its unique location and architectural style attract numerous visitors. The temple is also surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Lake Bratan, nestled among the mountains of the Bedugul Plateau, is crystal clear and tranquil, sometimes shrouded in mist, creating a magical experience.
