The Sanjiaolong Bay Nature Reserve is located in southeastern Huinan County, Jilin Province, within the Longgang Mountains of the Changbai Mountain Range. The reserve comprises ten scenic areas: Sanjiaolong Bay, Dalong Bay, Erlong Bay, Xiaolong Bay, and Sifang Peak, forming "seven bays, one lake, and two peaks."
Sanjiaolong Bay has a surface area of 50 hectares, a maximum depth of 104 meters, and a water storage capacity of 10 million cubic meters. Due to the triangular shape of the lake and the 30-meter-high triangular rock standing on the south side of the lake, it is named "Sanjiaolong Bay."
The best time to visit Triceratops Bay is from May to September.
The climate during this period is suitable, with more rain in the summer, lush greenery, and the scenery is just right. Among them, July and August are the best months for visiting, with cooler weather, allowing you to better appreciate the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains.
