Introducing Xiaoleishan

Xiaolei Mountain Scenic Area is located in Chengui Town, 15 kilometers west of Daye City, Huangshi City, Hubei Province. It is a major component of the Leishan Scenic Area, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, and a provincial forest park. Xiaolei Mountain is renowned for its remarkable rock formations, including nearly 100 stone pines, stone beds, and stone houses, each unique and breathtakingly crafted. The area is divided into four scenic spots: Fangguang Cave, Daxiaokou, Xiaolei Eight Scenic Spots, and Shisun Peak. Each of these scenic spots is dotted with pagodas, pavilions, towers, and temples. Also known as the Big Stone Drum, ascending the stage offers a breathtaking view, a truly relaxing experience. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Yuan Hongdao, one of the renowned Seven Masters of Gong'an, visited here and left a poem praising Leishan: "Great Leishan is even more magnificent, its high mountains surrounded by water, its peaks adorned with snow, its winding waters shimmering with coldness. It is like seeing something like a jade painting." Since then, "Leishan adorned with snow" has become one of Daye's eight scenic spots.

Long corridors on either side of the halls lead directly to the summit, connecting to Leifeng Pagoda.
