
Lichuan, located in the southwestern border of Hubei Province, borders four counties and two districts of Chongqing. Its fertile land and abundant resources make it a favorable place, hence its name. With a forest coverage rate of 62.14% and an average annual temperature of 15°C, it enjoys neither extreme summer heat nor severe winter cold, earning it the reputation of a "natural oxygen bar and a cool summer resort."
Lichuan has a long history and numerous scenic spots. Tenglong Cave, located 6 kilometers northeast of the city, is the largest known karst cave in China and is recognized by Chinese and foreign experts as one of the world's top-grade karst caves. There is Yumuzhai, the most perfectly preserved Tujia ancient village in the world. The village has cultural features such as ancient tombs, ancient stele forests, ancient plank roads, ancient village gates, and ancient customs. There are more than 100 households in the village, most of whom are Tujia people. They still retain complete ancient Tujia people's living, eating, wedding, funeral, and architectural customs. They are good at singing and dancing and are warm and hospitable. In addition, there are many scenic spots such as Dashuijing Scenic Area, Metasequoia King, Sumadang Resort, Qiyue Mountain, etc., with beautiful scenery and pleasant views.

Tenglong Cave
Stretching over 50 kilometers, the cave, a prime destination in Lichuan, combines mountains, water, and cave forests. It boasts five peaks and 10 halls, interconnected by water and dry caves, ensuring a constant temperature and smooth air flow year-round. Crustal fluctuations have created scenic features within the area, including the "Colorful Viewing Gorge," the "White Jade Stone Forest," and the "Three Dragon Gates." This is the largest known cave in the world.
Lichuan Qingjiang Ancient Riverbed
This uninhabited area, stretching ten miles in radius, boasts breathtakingly beautiful scenery, including breathtaking cliffs, waterfalls, soaring peaks, primeval forests, and ancient villages. It's considered Lichuan's most beautiful outdoor hiking route. The scenic area comprises the "One Line Sky," "Panda Cave," "Big and Small Dragon Gates," "Dubazhai," a cluster of caves, underground rivers, fissures, a solitary peak, "Elephant Trunk Hill," and the "Qingjiang River Gallery." Within these scenic areas, there are caves within caves, interconnected caves, mountains within caves, caves within mountains, dense underground streams, numerous rock crevices, and numerous stalactites.
Dragon Boat Water Village Scenic Area
The Longchuan Water Village Scenic Area, formerly known as Shuilian Cave, boasts a 2,000-meter dry cave, along with scenic spots such as the Great Buddha Cave, Guanyin Cave, Shuxin Spring, and Xiniu Cave. The cave boasts a well-planned, well-proportioned layout and unique scenery. The 5,000-meter water cave is the longest in China and is known as the "World's No. 1 Water Cave." Within the cave, Tianzhu Gorge, Bianzhong Gorge, Carp Gorge, and Jiuqu Gorge are interconnected.
Icheon in Enshi, Hubei, is a small scenic area known for its natural beauty and ethnic minority culture. The area has historical significance for the Tujia and Miao communities and offers insight into their traditional lifestyles, architecture, and festivals.
Icheon is located in Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province. The area can be reached by local buses or taxis from Enshi city center. Walking is suitable for exploring local scenic spots, but some areas require hiking or guided transport.
Many natural areas are free to enter. Some cultural villages or guided sites may charge a small fee (¥20–¥50), typically payable at the entrance. Online ticketing is limited; most purchases are offline.

The area is generally quiet. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends, and off-peak seasons (spring or autumn) have fewer visitors.
Village areas are accessible, but hiking trails and mountain viewpoints may not be suitable for elderly or disabled visitors. Children can enjoy short trails and cultural experiences.
