Located in Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Huanglong Valley is known as the "Fairyland on Earth" because of the many colorful pools in the valley, which change into a variety of colors as the surrounding scenery and the angle of sunlight change. The scenic area consists of Huanglong Valley, Danyun Gorge, Muni Valley, Xuebaoding, Xueshanliang, Hongxingyan, Xigou and other scenic areas. The main scenic area, Huanglong Valley, is located at the foot of Xuebaoding, the main peak of Minshan Mountain, facing the source of Fu River. It resembles the image of "dragon" in the minds of Chinese people, and has therefore been regarded as the "symbol of China".
