It administers six village committees, 15 natural villages, and 56 residents' groups, with a total population of 21,340. Located on the eastern shore of Erhai Lake, in the central-eastern part of Dali City, Wase Town borders Shuanglang Town to the north, Haidong Town to the south, and Jizushan Town, Binchuan County, to the east. It is 42 kilometers from Jizushan and Xiaguan, respectively, and 158 kilometers north of Lijiang. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, Wase Town faces the screen-like Cangshan Mountain to the west, overlooking the ancient city of Dali. It connects to the Buddhist sanctuary Jizushan to the east, offering a glimpse of the Golden Summit. Since ancient times, Wase Town has been a beautiful and fertile land of fish and rice on the eastern shore of Erhai Lake, and is one of the birthplaces of the Bai ethnic group's long-standing indigenous culture in the Erhai area.
