The Binggou Danxia Scenic Area, a key component of the Zhangye Danxia National Geopark, is located in Sunan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, known as the Yugu Flower Town. It is divided into the Xiaoxitian Scenic Area and the Daxitian Scenic Area. It is the most typical Danxia landform in China's arid regions, and one of the most complete and uniquely shaped Danxia landforms in the country.
Binggou Danxia, dominated by sandstone landforms, is the best-developed and largest-scale window-lattice palace-style geological relic in China. It is the geological name for the "window-lattice palace-style Danxia" and is rated as "China's No. 1 window-lattice palace-style Danxia landform." Danxia cliffs, stone walls, stone pillars, pinnacles, and hills are widely distributed throughout the scenic area, forming a magnificent landscape.
June to September is the best time to travel to Zhangye. In summer, the weather in Zhangye is sunny and rainless during the day, the air is clean, the visibility is good, and the scenery is great for taking photos, especially the Danxia under the setting sun at dusk is the most beautiful.

Binggou Danxia Scenic Area is famous for its vibrant, multicolored rock formations created by millions of years of erosion and sedimentation. It is part of the Zhangye Danxia Geopark and is a UNESCO World Heritage site, significant for its geological features and aesthetic beauty.
The scenic area is located in Zhangye, Gansu Province. Visitors can reach it by taxi, private car, or organized tour buses from Zhangye city. Once at the park, walking and short hikes are needed to explore the formations.
Open from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon for optimal lighting, and spring or autumn for comfortable weather.
Tickets are approximately 80–100 RMB per person. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or through authorized online booking platforms.
Booking is recommended during peak tourist seasons, ideally 1–2 weeks in advance.

Main platforms are accessible via paved paths, but some trails are steep or uneven. Elderly and disabled visitors may require assistance.
