The First Tower of the Great Wall, also known as Taolaihe Tower, is the southernmost tower at the west end of the Jiayuguan Great Wall and also the westernmost tower of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall.
The First Tower Scenic Area of the Great Wall boasts magnificent natural scenery, bordered by Jiuquan to the east, the desert to the west, Jiayu Valley to the north, and Qilian Mountains to the south. The Taolai River flows majestically eastward. Gazing south, the peaks are perpetually white, set against the azure sky, creating a breathtakingly fresh and picturesque scene. As the saying goes, "The distant peaks are wet with clouds, and the sparse trees dance with the wind."
