Huangyan District, part of Taizhou City, lies in the middle of Zhejiang's golden coastline, 207 kilometers from the provincial capital of Hangzhou. Huangyan boasts a long and narrow terrain, with high terrain in the west and low terrain in the east. Its well-developed mold industry earns it the nickname "Mold Town."
Huangyan is one of the world's original citrus production bases and a production base for high-quality citrus in China, with a long history of citrus cultivation. The local Guang tangerine, the ancestor of the world's largest cultivated wide-skinned citrus variety, the Wenzhou mandarin, is also found in Huangyan.
The area has a series of tourist attractions including Huangyan Waterfall, Ruiyan Temple, Huangyan Grottoes, Changtan Lake, China Citrus Expo Park, Jiufeng Park, Guanghua Temple and Fushan Great Rift Valley.
Huangyan District has a mild and humid climate, abundant rainfall, suitable sunshine and four distinct seasons. It belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate.
Budai Mountain Scenic Area
Comprising three scenic areas: the Mile Valley, the Ancient Village, and the Budai Creek Rafting Trail, the area is known as "One-to-Three Scenic Areas." The 1,500-meter-long Mile Valley boasts nearly a hundred waterfalls of varying sizes, a mountain resembling the welcoming Maitreya Buddha, and a "Dragon Gate" formed by two facing stone structures. The area boasts mountains, rocks, pools, waterfalls, bamboo forests, pavilions, terraces, corridors, and bridges, embodying the unique characteristics of Jiangnan landscape gardens.

Jiufeng Park
Formerly known as Ruilong Ganyingyuan, it was later renamed Xingshan Temple, and is commonly known as Jiufeng Temple. Jiufeng Academy was built in 1869, the eighth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty. The temple is named after its nine peaks: Lingtai, Wenbi, Huagai, Jieyin, Baoding, Lingjiu, Shuangque, Wolong, and Cuiping. The park's 13-acre Baochun Garden features four scenic areas, including plum trees. These include over 500 bonsai plum trees, which have won numerous awards at the "Two Plums" exhibitions and have garnered praise from plum expert Professor Chen Junyu, who inscribed the inscription, "Huangyan plum trees are world-renowned."
