Jincheng City, formerly known as Jianxing, Zezhou, and Zezhou Prefecture, is one of the birthplaces of Chinese culture. Human remains dating back 20,000 years ago, including those at Gaodu, Tashuihe, and Xiachuan, are still preserved.
