Introducing South Bay

Nanwan, the boundary between two headlands at Taiwan's southernmost tip, was originally a small fishing village, known in ancient times as "Dabanlai," meaning a place where large rocks have sunk. Also known as Blue Bay due to its clear, azure waters, Nanwan boasts a beautiful, delicate beach, approximately 600 meters long, making it the widest sandy beach in Kenting National Park and one of its most iconic attractions. Early on, it was listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Hengchun for its "Golden Sands and White Waves," and now serves as the hub for Kenting's trendy water activities.

Nanwan's abundant marine resources make it suitable for almost all water activities, including swimming, paddling, surfing, sailing, jet skiing, rubber boats, beach volleyball, snorkeling, etc. It is one of Taiwan's most popular water paradises. Especially after a typhoon, when the waves are high, you can see many experts riding the waves on their surfboards.
