It borders Qiongzhong County to the east, Wuzhishan City to the southeast, Ledong County to the south, Changjiang County to the west, and Danzhou City to the north. The county measures 63 kilometers from north to south and 68 kilometers from east to west, with a total area of 2,117 square kilometers. It administers four towns and seven townships, with the county government located in Yacha Town.
