Introducing Quangang District
Quangang District is a district under the jurisdiction of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Before 1996, it was part of the Huibei area of Hui'an City. In 2000, it was separated from Hui'an County and established as a separate district. Quangang District is planned to be a modern petrochemical port city and a leading region for Fujian's petrochemical industry. The natural harbor within its jurisdiction, Xiaocuo Port, is a new port in Quanzhou City, hence the name "Quangang District."
