It borders Xinlin District and Tahe County to the west and north, Heihe City and Nenjiang County to the south, and the Russian cities of Shmanovsk, Svobodny, and Magdagachi District across the river to the east. Huma County is rich in deposits of alluvial gold and coal, and has a long history of alluvial gold mining, earning it the ancient nickname "Black Water Borders, Gold Paved Roads." With a high forest coverage rate, it is one of my country's timber production bases, boasting abundant vegetation and a superior ecological environment.
