Introducing Changge
The culture of the Ge Tianshi clan is extensive and profound, its legacy stretching back thousands of years, uninterrupted and truly remarkable. The Ge Tianshi clan's hometown is Changge, known as the birthplace of music and dance. Its related cultural sites are well-preserved. Twelve Linked Cities and Phoenix City are located on the north bank of the Jinyu River, 5 kilometers northeast of the city. Twelve cities were built along the mounds, stretching for over 10 miles in a winding, uninterrupted pattern, earning them the name "Twelve Linked Cities" today. The Forbidden City, south of Zichan's Taipei Yuhe River, faces the Twelve Linked Cities, with Phoenix Terrace nearby. Five miles east, in Mengzhai Village, Guanting Township, lies an ancient city, said to be the Western Phoenix City of the Han Dynasty. It was the site of Changge during the Spring and Autumn Period. Thirteen kilometers northeast of the county seat, on the Dongfenggang, south of Heshangyang Village in Daqiangzhou Township, lies Phoenix City, also known as the East Phoenix City.
