Introducing Wen County
Wen County was known as Wen State during the Xia Dynasty and was under the jurisdiction of Huaiqing Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Wen County gave birth to historical figures such as Bu Shang, a famous thinker during the Spring and Autumn Period; Sima Yi, a famous politician and military strategist during the Three Kingdoms Period; and Guo Xi, a famous painter during the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the birthplace of Tai Chi, a well-known Chinese and internationally renowned boxing troupe, and the origin of surnames such as Wen and Su. Wen County is located in the center of the "one-hour economic circle" of Zhengzhou, Jiaozuo, Jiyuan, and Luoyang. It borders the Longhai Railway to the south and the Jiaozhi Railway to the north. It has the Yellow River Highway Bridge and the Jiaowen Expressway, and is connected to the Lianhuo, Jiaojin, and Jiaozheng Expressways. It is only a one-hour drive from Xinzheng International Airport.
