Introducing Yongshou
Yongshou County boasts beautiful natural scenery and numerous cultural attractions, including the Wuling Temple Pagoda, a 400,000-acre locust tree forest, and the Sophora japonica Resort, built within the forest. The Wuling Temple Pagoda stands 27.5 meters tall, 6 meters in diameter, and 21 meters in circumference. It features seven stories and eight floors, constructed of brick and wood. It is a double-eaved pavilion-style structure with flying brackets and arches, corner bells, round and square gates, and exterior railings with various carvings. Inside the pagoda is a two-meter-square patio, with a winding wooden staircase leading to the top. Intermediate archways face each other, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The pagoda is located within the ruins of Wuling Temple in Yongping, Yongshou County (the former county seat), Shaanxi Province, hence the name Wuling Temple Pagoda. Legend has it that during the Song Dynasty, this site housed Cuiping Academy. Looking up at the pagoda from the courtyard, the clouds swaying and the tower swaying are a truly spectacular sight. In May, Yongshou, China's hometown of locust trees, saw 400,000 mu (approximately 1,000 hectares) of locust trees stretching for hundreds of miles, filled with the fragrance of their blossoms, attracting nearly 10,000 tourists and businessmen. During the event, Yongshou's rich tourism resources, rich loess customs, and exciting series of activities left a deep impression on everyone. As they walked through the locust trees, admired their scenery, picked their blossoms, tasted their honey, and expressed their feelings for the trees, they unknowingly connected with nature, cultivated their character, and protected the ecology.
