Ancient Post Road
This ancient road, originating from Yindu (present-day Neihuang County) in the south, entered Wei territory at Songcun, and exited through 16 villages, including Bokou, Matou, Shuangjing, Dezheng, and Luozhuang. It was approximately 70 li long and commonly known as the "Yin Road." Wei County had ten post stations, including Jiangcun, Shuangjing, Xisibao, Fangliji, Beigao, Luozhuang, and Jicun, offering excellent transportation links, making it a "thoroughfare connecting Jin, Qi, Yan, Zhao, Wu, and Chu."
Ancient city ruins
Jiuxianmiao Ancient City: Located 14 kilometers northeast of present-day Weicheng, it was built in the third year of the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty (744). Its scale is unknown, but a stele of Jiuxianmiao remains. It was established in 329 AD and is known as the Tang City.
Huanshui Ancient City: Located in the old Weixian Village, 15 kilometers southwest of today's Weicheng, it was built in the sixth year of Xining in the Song Dynasty (1073). It was originally the seat of Huanshui County. Its scale is unknown. There is a 2-meter-high stone lion. It was built and governed for 297 years and is historically known as Songcheng.
Wuxingdian Ancient City: The original city site is now Weicheng. Built in the third year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1370), the ancient city wall was originally a rammed earth wall with a circumference of 2,600 meters, a height of 7 meters, and a width of 8 meters. The moat was 5 meters deep and had four gates in the east, west, south, and north.
