Located south of Xingyi City, the Wanfenglin Scenic Area, a National AAAA-level scenic spot, comprises nearly 20,000 striking peaks and lush green ridges. It is one of the three major karst landforms in southwest China. The dense and unique peaks and forests here are considered a Chinese conical karst museum and are listed among China's five most beautiful peak forests. Xu Xiake described them as "only here do peaks become forests." The Wanfenglin Scenic Area is divided into two major sections: the East and West Peak Forests. The currently open to the public, paid scenic area is primarily located in Wutun Town below the West Peak Forest, while the East Peak Forest remains undeveloped.
In addition to its beautiful scenery, the area boasts several Buyi villages, including Nahui, Leli, and Yulong, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich Buyi customs and culture. The Xifenglin Scenic Area offers two tour routes: a mountainside loop and a road through the fields and villages. In spring, thousands of acres of rapeseed flowers bloom, creating a spectacular sight.
