
Shangganling District is a district within Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province. It lies northeast of Yichun City, in the heart of the Lesser Khingan Mountains, on the middle and upper reaches of the Tangwang River, 34 kilometers from downtown Yichun. The terrain of Shangganling District is primarily low mountains and hills. The Shangganling Forest Area has a north temperate continental humid monsoon climate.
Shangganling District has tourist attractions such as Xishui National Forest Park, Lao Qiangui, the site of the Anti-Japanese United Army, and the Kulbin River Wetland Nature Reserve.

Xishui National Forest Park is a paradise on earth that integrates forests, wetlands and streams. After hundreds of millions of years of crustal changes, it has formed a landform with overlapping peaks and winding streams. The forest coverage rate is over 96%. Xishui National Forest Park is an AAAA-level tourist attraction. The park has a superior geographical location and very convenient transportation. It is only 24 kilometers away from the city of Yichun. The total area of the park is 4,580 hectares. Xishui National Forest Park is not only pleasant, but also rich in biological species. It is a key ecological public welfare area of the "Natural Protection Project". It is known as the "Forest Ecological Museum and the Back Garden of Forest City Yichun". The park planning is unique. According to its natural advantages, the park is divided into "seven districts, six scenes, two parks and one village."
