
Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, derived from the name of the Yitong River, meaning "grand, turbulent river," is a county affiliated with Siping City, Jilin Province. It is located in central Jilin Province, on the upper reaches of the Yitong River, south of the provincial capital, Changchun. It borders Shuangyang District of Changchun to the east, Panshi City to the southeast, Dongfeng and Dongliao Counties to the south, Lishu County to the southwest, Gongzhuling City to the southwest and northwest, and the suburbs of Changchun to the north.
In November 2016, Yitong Manchu Autonomous County of Siping City was rated as the second batch of national comprehensive tourism demonstration areas by the National Tourism Administration.
The temperate humid monsoon climate zone is suitable for travel all year round.
Yitong Manchu Museum
The Yitong Manchu Museum is a professional museum showcasing Manchu history, folklore, and cultural relics. It is divided into seven sections: the origins of the Manchus, politics, economy, culture, customs, beliefs, and Yitong past and present. Every image and artifact in the collection depicts the rich tapestry of Manchu history and customs; every legend and story depicts the diverse lives and profound history and culture created by the Manchu ancestors through their wisdom and hard work. The Yitong Manchu Museum has become a hub for research on ethnic history and culture, education on ethnic unity and progress, and patriotism. It has also been designated a National AAAA-level tourist attraction and serves as a platform for Yitong's international publicity, exchange, and cooperation.

Dagushan Tourist Scenic Area
Located 17 kilometers southwest of the county seat, Dagushan, a national AA-level scenic spot, is a comprehensive scenic area with unique volcanic landforms as its core, integrating sightseeing, scientific research, leisure and entertainment.

Nanshan Tourist Scenic Area
Nanshan Tourist Scenic Area, now a national 3A-level scenic spot, is located in Erdaolingzi Village, Yitong Town, 6 kilometers south of the county seat, covering an area of 18 square kilometers. It mainly engages in tourism development, tourism services, ecological sightseeing, crop planting, etc.
Shoushan Lake
The Yitong River is intercepted at the foot of Shoushan Mountain. It is a medium-sized reservoir on the upper reaches of the Yitong River, mainly used for flood control and irrigation. Shoushan Reservoir has become a medium-sized reservoir mainly for irrigation, supplemented by tourism, vacation, fishing, leisure and entertainment.
Muqing Valley Tourist Scenic Area
Muqing Valley Scenic Area, a national AAA-level scenic spot located 8 kilometers southeast of Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, covers an area of 2 million square meters. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and a serene bay, it boasts stunning scenery. Centered on the unique and mysterious shamanic culture, it is a comprehensive, high-quality tourist destination integrating northern folk culture, ecological tourism, leisure and vacation, and dining and entertainment. It is a designated shamanic academic research base by Jilin Province and several universities.
Yitong County is historically significant for its agricultural development and traditional northeastern Chinese culture. It reflects local Han and ethnic minority heritage through its villages, architecture, and community practices.
