The First Tower of the Great Wall, also known as Taolaihe Tower, is the southernmost tower at the west end of the Jiayuguan Pass Great Wall and the westernmost tower of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. It was the starting point of the ancient Great Wall and was originally a beacon tower, of which only an earthen mound remains today.
