
The Wei and Jin Dynasty Brick Mural Tombs are located in Xincheng Town, about 18 kilometers east of Jiayuguan City. There are more than a thousand ancient tombs from the Wei and Jin Dynasties distributed in an area of nearly 13 square kilometers, and it is known as the "underground gallery".
These brick murals are brightly colored, unique in style, and painted with exquisite techniques. The contents of the brick murals are drawn from the real life of the time, reflecting farming, breeding, mulberry picking, banquets, travel, military exercises, hunting, etc.
Now only Tomb Chamber No. 6 is open to tourists, and Tomb Chamber No. 7 is only open to researchers.

The Xincheng Wei and Jin Tombs date back to the Northern Wei and Jin dynasties, representing important funerary architecture along the Silk Road. They provide insight into ancient burial practices, local culture, and the historical significance of Jiayuguan as a frontier city.
Located near Jiayuguan city in Gansu Province, the tombs are accessible by taxi or private car from Jiayuguan city center. Local buses may also reach the site, though walking within the tomb complex is required for full exploration.
Open daily, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit to avoid extreme desert heat and cold.
The entrance fee is approximately 50–80 CNY for adults. Tickets can usually be purchased at the entrance or through official tourism websites.
Booking in advance is recommended during peak tourist seasons. A few days prior is sufficient for most visitors.
