Introducing Koruk Lake and Tosu Lake
Koruk Lake and Tosu Lake are located in the northeast of the Qaidam Basin, on the Huaitoutala grassland about 50 kilometers away from Delingha, the capital of Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. There are two beautiful and tranquil lakes, one large and one small, named Koruk Lake and Tosu Lake.
Keluk Lake is a freshwater lake with a thick muddy bottom, overgrown with weeds, and rich in zooplankton. Tuosu Lake, on the other hand, is a saltwater lake with few aquatic and zooplankton plants. Surrounded by the vast Gobi Desert, they resemble two giant, gleaming mirrors, set between the vast Gobi Desert and boundless grassland.
