The entrance to Hulunbuir Ancient City is located on Zhengyang Street in Hailar District. Founded 273 years ago, the city has played a significant historical role in defending the nation's borders. As its political and military role grew, its status as a commercial and transportation center naturally took shape.

Due to the geographical location of Hulunbuir City, it has a huge radiation effect. It connects Qiqihar in the south, Gubeikou and Zhangjiakou in the west, and Heishantou, Jilar, Kulun and other ancient roads in the north. Post stations have been gradually opened.
