Fojing Mountain, located in Shuangxi Township, Hanyuan, at an altitude of 2,617 meters, is a government-opened religious venue. The temple was relocated here from Shanqingli, Mianzhu, during the Ming Dynasty, and was named after the tranquility and peace of Buddha.
There is a Longfo Temple built on the top of the mountain. It is said that in the second year of Ganlu in the Western Han Dynasty ( 53 BC during the reign of Emperor Xuan of Han), Pratyekabuddha was born on the bank of Han River (now Lanjiaying) with a huge body. He remained silent for many years and then ascended to Jiguan Mountain. He felt uneasy and flew back to this mountain. It was called "Buddha Jing" and it was named after it. It was a place for Pratyekabuddha to practice during the Han, Jin and Sui dynasties.
