Our Lady of the Rosary Church, located next to the Kaohsiung Bridge on Wufu 3rd Road, was built during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty and is the first Catholic church in Taiwan. The spire building, a mixture of Gothic and Romanesque styles, is considered the most artistically decorated church in Taiwan and has been listed as a Class III historical site.

The front of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary features a towering spire, flanked by smaller guard towers . A stone tablet bearing the inscription " By Imperial Order " from Emperor Xianfeng hangs above the main entrance. The statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, situated in the center of the altar, was imported from the Spanish province of Rosary and boasts a history of over 140 years.
