This is also a paradise for various birds, attracting many people to watch birds. Besides strolling through the Sicao Wetland, a must-do when visiting the area is to take a bamboo raft ride to see the floating forest and Taiwan's only floating green tunnel.

The reserve is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The best time to visit is early in the morning or late afternoon, especially if you want to see wildlife such as birds during feeding times.
Entry to the reserve is free, though there is a fee for boat tours and guided activities. Tickets for these activities can be purchased on-site at the visitor center.

Night visits are not available. However, the wetland offers a special chance for birdwatching at dawn or dusk, making the early morning or late afternoon visits the best times to experience the area.
The wetland can get busy during weekends and holidays. To avoid crowds, visit during weekdays or early mornings on weekends.
