With a summit elevation of 2,565 meters, Doi Inthanon is arguably Thailand's highest peak, boasting an average temperature of just 15 degrees Celsius. With good fortune, visitors can witness rare and spectacular sights such as a sea of clouds and a rainbow. Doi Inthanon boasts two pagodas, one on each peak, known as the Doi Inthanon Twin Pagodas. Built by the Royal Thai Air Force for the 60th birthdays of the Kingdom and the Queen, the towers are five meters apart, symbolizing the five-year age difference between the King and Queen. The exquisite design resembles two colossal works of art, adorned with intricate murals and reliefs. The gardens on the hillside below resemble a city in the sky, with streams, small bridges, and shrouded in mist.
