Zhongshan Zhan Garden, also known as Zhongshan Grand Mansion, is located in Beitai Village, Nan District, Zhongshan City. It is currently the largest private classical garden in the Lingnan region. Spanning 100 mu (approximately 100 acres), Zhan Garden was designed by its owner, Huang Yuanxin, and built over a five-year period by hundreds of skilled garden craftsmen recruited from Suzhou and Hangzhou.

The original intention of the owner of Zhan Garden was to create a tranquil and elegant abode for his mother to spend her remaining years in peace. To demonstrate his steadfast love and enduring benevolence, he named the bridge after his father and the garden after his mother's surname. He also dedicated a section to the "Filial Piety Hall," where he hung a colorful painting of the "Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars."

Therefore, the earliest Zhan Garden, which is now the backyard of the Zhan family, was the place where the Zhan family, especially Old Mrs. Zhan, ate, lived and lived. After Old Mrs. Zhan moved out, the living utensils inside remained in their original appearance, becoming a true witness to the history of the Zhan family.
