The Diping Wind and Rain Bridge, also known as the Flower Bridge, was built in 1894, the 20th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. The bridge is 70 meters long, 8 meters above the water, and 4.5 meters wide. A bluestone pier stands in the river. The bridge is a wooden structure, with the lower section constructed from two rows of eight thick fir logs, each connected by mortise and tenon joints. The two layers are suspended sideways in the shape of a balance.
