The Firefly Water Cave Tourist Area, located at the foot of Shimi Mountain, 19 kilometers south of Yishui County , is a renowned and mysterious underground firefly cave. Formed between 65 million and 230 million years ago, the cave spans 1,200 meters and features a 25,000 -square-meter glowing lake . The cave itself is vast, boasting a diverse array of karst landscapes. The underground lake within the cave is filled with plentiful, clear, sweet, and unfathomable water.

The cave not only has a large number of stalactites, strange rocks and other unique landscapes, but also a kind of firefly that lives there. This kind of firefly only lives in the damp caves. The top of the cave is dotted with thousands of stars that twinkle in the clear night sky, forming a wonderful landscape.

Visitors enter the dark cave and take a boat pulled by a rope, moving forward through the water. Suddenly, the view in front opens up, and the sky is full of twinkling and shining stars, which is like entering a fairy tale world, making people imagine and linger.
