I am planning a month-long trip to Laos (and Cambodia and Vietnam) for the end of next September through October and I've read it's not the most ideal time to travel there weather-wise, but it's the only time I can get a month off work. Is the weather rainy enough to make it a deal-breaker, or is it still worth it? Any advice from those who've traveled at that time would be appreciated!
You could get floods in some areas. Central Vietnam often has floods in October.
I have been to Laos in October, generally drier at the end of the month. Can expect a few thunderstorms usually late afternoon and evenings. At least it won't be smokey as in March/April.
1 month is not long for 3 countries.
If October were your only option for this trip, would you take it? The tour goes all around Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Unfortunately, that’s all I can get off this next year from work!
I would go for it but l would not go on a tour.
