Vietjet
Hello, hoping to crack this with your help. I am trying to book tickets for my children with Vietjet. It doesn’t accept the SJ codes they have so I cant progress with the booking. Any tips ? Many thanks
If I try to book a seat for myself, it seems to work but I am trying to book for 2others who have been linked to me as part of my family group

Yeah, I wonder about that. Thing is it’s a direct flight.
Is the consensus avoid?
Really depends on the flight, the cost, flight times & the cost of any alternative flights, and whether they are direct as well.
Having used them once (8hr delay on a 1hr flight) , I have always avoided them since, but its a personal decision you take whether you accept there is a risk of serious delay or even cancellation, and whether you are prepared to accept that or not, for any savings you may make, both financial & time.
They probably have many happy customers who have never had a problem, I wasn't one of them unfortunately :(
We used Vietjet multiple times for our vacation this April, we had no major issues
1. direct flight Delhi-Saigon... one hour late, landed 7.30AM, instead of 6.30AM [checked bag for 15 usd extra]
2. we took two domestic flights inside Vietnam. Both were also by via jet:
5:30 AM from Saigon landing at Danang at 6.50AM
6:45 AM from Hue to Hanoi.
Both were on time, there was absolutely no problem with the check in, boarding.
I had booked a checked bag for these two flights also because we carried some items for self catering , very nominal charge 9 usd extra.
Next flight was from Hanoi to Siem reap, it was scheduled at 4:10 PM but took off only at 6:00 PM and that was a bit annoying and inconvenient but no major repercussion on our sightseeing plans. So on the whole we were quite pleased with Viet jet despite reading a lot of criticisms online.

we had a similar worst experience with Viet Jet
My husband Abhijeet Bhate was travelling from Mumbai to Brisbane on 18th April
His origin flight from. Mumbai was delayed by more than 3 hours due to which he was forced to miss his connecting flight to Brisbane. To the utmost disappointment, he was given no help by the staff there to get him to Brisbane. The best they could do was to give him a connecting flight to Sydney scheduled after 8 hours.

由于我丈夫必须自己支付从悉尼到布里斯班的机票，我们多次催促并威胁要向澳大利亚竞争与消费者委员会 (ACCC) 投诉后，才要求他们报销。最终，他们只愿意支付我们支付机票价格的四分之一……这太令人愤慨了，我们拒绝了他们的要求，并向 ACCC 投诉，等待他们联系我们。
