Low/no fee ATM around Nana?

On my Europe-based bank's visa debit card I have a no fee withdrawal abroad arrangement, but I'd like to find out what ATMs around Nana will charge lowest transaction fees ?

All Thai bank ATMs have a standard THB220 charge per withdrawal.

As said, they all charge the same amount now-a-days.

There used to be a ATM that charged slightly lower, but they were like looking for unicorns.

Thanks. Do you know what daily withdrawal amount limits are for some of the different banks?

Generally between THB20-30k, depending on the bank.

The fee is now Thb 250.

You can withdraw Thb 20,000 for sure, maybe more subject to the limit on your card and the limit of the ATM machine that you are using.

Daily limit depends on uour cards daily limit , my UK cards have either a £300 or £500 limit so with the £500 one I can withdraw 20000 at a time. NB that's midnight UK to midnight

Thanks all for inputs

Have a back-up debit card!

If you lose or damage a single card you could have a bit of a problem getting a replacement right away.

Up to you.

Krungsri ATMs (yellow logo) allow a 30,000 baht withdrawal. Since the 250 baht transaction fee is only 0.83% of that, I consider it a reasonable charge for the convenience and security.

But the daily limit on my no-fee debit card is €1000. Many foreign banks set much lower limits which can’t be raised. If your limit is 500 dollars or pounds, the transaction fee is a much heftier levy.

In any case, always withdraw the maximum amount you can.

Many banks have now upped their game for global cash transfers. For example I can now send cash from my Canadian bank to Bangkok with a cash pickup option (the pickup options are numerous - I have about 5 nearby banks that I can choose from). In past my bank had poor rates but lately they have become very competive - I can now transfer CAD to myself in BKK, received as THB and get almost the same THB as if I went to Superrich. ATM's are becoming obsolete - in addition to the 250THB fee, my bank charges $3CAD and a 2.5% foreign currency surchage. So if I take out 1000 CAD at an ATM (my bank's max), the fees total $40 CAD, so an ATM withdrawal costs me an extra 940 THB compared to a global money transfer. I realize there are supposed no fee options (Charles Schwab), but nothing like that in Canada.
