Airport transfer
Hi all,
Our hotel doesn’t offer airport transfer, and we thought that if we organised a driver beforehand for some trips around Phuket during our stay we could use the same driver when we arrive to take us to our hotel? Any suggestions?
Lots of drivers will do this, there is a section if you go on TA of a computer with drivers listed, airport transfers start around 800 Baht
Search "Phuket taxi" on google. Scroll past the sponsored listings and you'll find a list of transport companies, most with many reviews. Choose a couple based on reviews and try emailing them for prices.
The transport booths at the airport quote Bt3200/3500 for a sedan/van for an "8 hour city tour", basically a day driving around the island, wherever you want to go. You'll probably pay more through a hotel, but you should be able to negotiate a discount (maybe Bt2500/day) if you deal with an individual driver.
