Ban Gioc Waterfall trips for solo travelers?

Hi you all lovely travelers,

I am a solo traveler from the US and am trying to plan for my trip to Vietnam in November - running into roadblocks as I try to look for a 3D2N trip to Ban Gioc waterfalls/ Cao Bang. it seems that all the tours I look into are for private tours only - or, at the very least, do not accept booking for solo travelers without charging an arm and a leg as "a private tour for one". I feel like there MUST be multi-day group tours available for solo travelers - am I mistaken?

Just a tad discouraged. Already emailed Mr. Linh's tour company and see what they say.

On the same vein - any recommendation for group tours in Northern Vietnam (that allows for solo booking) will be appreciated and definitely looked into!

Looking forward to the hive's wisdom,

Jessica

Hello Jessica,

You don't need a tour.

Ban Gioc is super easy and inexpensive to DIY.

You can get there by public bus.

Stay with Lan at her homestay.

On Gmaps as:

"Lan's Homestay (Thác Bản Giốc) Trùng Khánh"

Easy 😊
