Can you share your budget in SGD please?Otherwise we really have nothing idea what to recommend - Chinatown has numerous hotels from bargain basement budget places with tiny rooms through to fairly expensive boutique hotels.

That’s quite low so other than Furama City Centre, I don’t think you can get a good size room for that rate.
Yes - there Furama City Centre would be pretty much the only choice for a good sized rooms at that budget. Be aware that the hotel's public areas are pretty tired, and rooms are not serviced every day. It does have an small but decent pool.
Depending on your actual dates you could take a look at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium by IHG and Dorsett Hotel - compare direct booking with the usual sites.
