Favorite restaurants

We will be in OC right after Labor Day. We haven’t been there in a few years after moving to OC. What have been some of the favorite casual restaurants this summer, especially for good crab cakes (can’t get them in NC!) Thanks!!

  • Hooked – Offers a modern casual dining experience with high-quality seafood and locally inspired dishes. Their crabcakes and crab dips are particularly popular.

Other casual dining options to consider while in Ocean City:

  • Midtown Oyster Bar – Small, casual, and highly rated for seafood lovers, especially oysters and crabcakes.
  • Mac & Manco Pizza – If you want a break from seafood, this casual spot on the boardwalk is a local favorite for pizza.

Visiting in early September means you can enjoy outdoor seating without the heavy summer crowds, and many of these spots maintain their high quality of fresh seafood well into the fall season. Reservations aren’t usually necessary for the casual spots, but it’s always a good idea for popular dinner times.
