restaurants walking distance to hotels at Atlanta Airport

Hi, We are flying into ATL on Delta from Bonaire arriving around 7:30 pm and leaving the next morning on a domestic flight around 9:15. We are looking for a decent moderately priced hotel ($100 to $150) that might have some restaurants nearby that we could walk to and that might be open late. We are vegetarian but if we could find even a good salad and some soup, or Indian food, or Thai ... a lot of things can work. I am concerned that by the time we get luggage and a shuttle many places will be closed.

I'd love to stay in one that has access to the sky train but they seem more expensive. Thank you for your help,

If you’re flying into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and only staying one night, you have a few good hotel options within walking or short shuttle distance that cater to moderate budgets and have nearby dining options.

Most airport hotels offer free shuttles to and from the terminals, and some are connected to the ATL SkyTrain, which can make getting to and from the airport quicker. However, many mid-range hotels in the $100–$150 range are a bit further from the SkyTrain stations, meaning you may rely on the hotel shuttle instead.

Here are some good hotel options near ATL with nearby dining:

  • Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport South: Offers an airport shuttle, on-site 24-hour market with snacks and simple meals, and is near several fast-casual restaurants. Vegetarian options may include salads, soups, or Asian cuisine nearby.
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport: Includes free breakfast and is within a short shuttle ride to nearby restaurants. Some nearby places like Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, and a few Thai or Indian restaurants may be open late.
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Airport West: Moderate pricing, free breakfast, and easy shuttle access. There are several casual dining options within a mile or two, including vegetarian-friendly restaurants.

For late-night vegetarian-friendly meals, your best bet may be either hotel dining options or fast-casual chains that stay open later. Nearby restaurants may include:

  • Indian or Thai restaurants along Camp Creek Parkway (some open until 10–11 pm)
  • Salad and soup options at local cafes or hotel markets
  • Chain restaurants such as Panera Bread, Chick-fil-A, or Waffle House

If staying close to the SkyTrain is a priority, consider hotels like the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, though prices may be higher than $150. Otherwise, shuttles from moderately priced hotels should be convenient enough for your short stay.

Overall, for a one-night layover with vegetarian options, relying on hotel shuttle service plus late-night casual dining nearby will likely meet your needs without having to overspend on a SkyTrain-connected hotel.
