Braves Stuff Question

Anyone know of a good local non-chain store to get some Braves things like jerseys, old vintage shirts, etc? I know there is the store at Truist Park and a few chain ones around there, but wondering if there are better places that might have better prices and more older selection of jersey's etc, in the Western Atlanta area (Fayetteville to Truist Park)?

If you’re looking for Braves gear outside of the usual chain stores and Truist Park team shop, there are a few local and specialty options in the western Atlanta area that might have a better selection of vintage items, unique jerseys, and potentially better prices.

Local Sports and Memorabilia Stores: These shops often carry older or more unique Braves items, including throwback jerseys and collectibles.

  • Legends of the Game Sports Collectibles (Roswell/Alpharetta area): Known for vintage sports memorabilia, including older MLB jerseys and hats. They sometimes have Braves-specific items, and their inventory changes frequently.
  • Old School Sports Shop (Fayetteville): Smaller local shop that occasionally stocks retro Braves apparel and accessories. Worth calling ahead to see what they have in stock.
  • Sports Card & Memorabilia Shops in Marietta and Kennesaw: Some of these shops carry vintage Braves shirts and hats along with collectibles. Shops like “Cardboard Memories” in Marietta often have rotating inventory of older MLB gear.

Thrift, Consignment, and Vintage Shops: Vintage shops in Atlanta sometimes carry older MLB jerseys and fan gear, especially if you’re open to second-hand finds.

  • Buffalo Exchange (Atlanta Westside/Decatur area): Occasionally carries retro MLB jerseys and t-shirts. Inventory rotates quickly, so frequent visits help.
  • Goodwill Outlets and Local Thrift Stores: You might find older Braves items at discounted prices. Stores near Fayetteville and west Atlanta suburbs sometimes have vintage sports clothing.
  • Atlanta Vintage Marketplaces/Pop-Up Events: Keep an eye on local Atlanta events or markets, especially in the Marietta and Smyrna areas, where vendors often sell vintage Braves shirts and collectibles.

Visiting Truist Park’s team store is convenient but prices tend to be higher and selection focuses on current season gear. For older or unique jerseys, combining visits to local specialty stores and thrift shops is your best bet. Calling ahead to confirm availability can save time.

In short, if your goal is vintage or hard-to-find Braves items, target small memorabilia shops, local vintage/thrift stores, and occasional pop-up markets west of Atlanta between Fayetteville and Truist Park.
