Recommendations Please! Best BBQ restaurants
We’re coming to Vegas in a few weeks and it’s my son & son-in-law’s first time to the USA. They’re desperate to try a BBQ style restaurant, hopefully with large portions! (We’re in the U.K. - I realise USA portions are larger than ours anyway but we’re looking for BIG). Pulled pork/pulled beef, ribs, burgers etc.
I’ve found a few on TA itself and looked on the forum but most info is out of date. I’d love advice/recommendations please. Thanks!
Welcome to Las Vegas! If you're looking for some great BBQ with large portions for your son and son-in-law's first USA visit, you’re in luck—Vegas has plenty of top-notch BBQ joints. Here are some of the best spots that serve up big portions of pulled pork, pulled beef, ribs, and other hearty BBQ favorites:
- Heart Attack Grill
Known for its oversized portions and indulgent menu, this quirky spot on Fremont Street is a must-visit for those craving large portions. While it’s more famous for its burgers, the BBQ offerings are pretty solid, including a massive pulled pork sandwich. Just be aware of the health-themed humor—they joke about the “heart attack” aspect of their food, but it’s a fun experience for first-timers.
- Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que
A fan favorite, Joe's Kansas City brings authentic BBQ flavors from Kansas City to Vegas. They offer some of the juiciest pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and smoked sausages around. Their portions are generous, so be ready for a filling meal. You’ll find a relaxed vibe, and their sides (like baked beans and coleslaw) complement the BBQ perfectly.
- Grill 'Em All
Located on the outskirts of the Strip, Grill 'Em All serves BBQ sandwiches and platters with massive portions. Their pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches come piled high, and their smoked ribs are well-loved by locals and tourists alike. If you want a filling meal, their portions are large and satisfying.
- Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que
A chain known for its hearty portions and delicious BBQ, Lucille’s is a great option for trying all the classics. Their menu includes options like St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and even BBQ burgers. You can expect generous servings with sides like cornbread, mac 'n' cheese, and fries. The portions are definitely on the large side, perfect for those looking for a real American BBQ feast.
- The Barbecue Pit
A hidden gem located off the Strip, The Barbecue Pit offers large portions of traditional BBQ in a laid-back setting. Their smoked brisket and ribs are among the best in the city, and the pulled pork is tender and flavorful. It’s a great place if you want to enjoy authentic BBQ without the huge crowds of the more touristy spots.
- Craig's BBQ
For a more casual, no-frills BBQ experience, Craig’s BBQ delivers big portions of classic BBQ dishes. Their pulled pork, beef brisket, and baby back ribs are delicious, and you won’t leave hungry. The portions here are generous, and the flavors are spot-on, making it a great stop for a hearty meal.
These BBQ restaurants should satisfy any craving for large portions and authentic American BBQ. Whether you're looking for a fun atmosphere or a more laid-back experience, Las Vegas has something for everyone when it comes to BBQ. Enjoy your trip!
