Inexpensive food for kids on the strip

I’m taking my nephew to Vegas in March for his tenth birthday. We’ll be staying somewhere center strip- probably Paris- but traveling up and down the strip while we’re there. I normally grab food as I go and I’m not picky, so I’d like to have some ideas of where to take a kid to eat that’s reasonably priced, else we end up eating pizza from that cafe in Paris for every meal. Any suggestions welcome!

I also want to take him to one buffet. I’m willing to splurge here. The kid loves meat, particularly steak. I’ve only been to the Wynn Buffet so again, any recs would be great.

It sounds like you and your nephew are going to have an amazing time in Vegas! When it comes to inexpensive food for kids on the Strip, there are several great options that are both budget-friendly and kid-approved. Here are some suggestions for places where you can enjoy a good meal without breaking the bank:

  • Shake Shack (New York-New York): This is a fun, kid-friendly option with delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches, and shakes. It’s a great spot if your nephew loves burgers and fries, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.
  • In-N-Out Burger (on the Strip near The LINQ): If you haven't had In-N-Out yet, it’s a must-try in Vegas. They offer simple, fresh burgers, fries, and shakes at an affordable price. It's a great quick and easy option for a fast meal.
  • Blaze Pizza (near the LINQ): Blaze Pizza allows you to build your own pizza, which makes it a fun experience for kids. The prices are affordable, and it's a great option for a customizable meal that can satisfy any picky eater.
  • Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips (The LINQ Promenade): If your nephew enjoys fried food, this spot is perfect for a tasty meal that won't break the bank. You can get delicious fish and chips, or other fried treats, in a casual setting.
  • The Buffet at Paris (inside Paris Hotel): Since you're staying at Paris, the buffet here is a solid option. It has a good variety of food, including kid-friendly options like mac and cheese, pizza, and a carving station. The atmosphere is fun, and it offers a nice mix of comfort food and more upscale options.
  • Yard House (The LINQ Promenade): This restaurant offers a variety of meals, including kid-friendly options like pizzas, burgers, and pasta. It's a large restaurant with a fun atmosphere, and it's a good spot for both adults and kids to find something they’ll enjoy.

Buffet Suggestions (for Steak and Meat Lovers):
Since your nephew loves steak and you're looking to splurge a bit, here are some excellent buffet options:

  • The Buffet at Bellagio: This is a great splurge option for a buffet. They offer a fantastic variety of meats, including prime rib and steak, as well as a diverse selection of international dishes. The atmosphere is upscale, and the food quality is excellent. It’s a great choice for a special celebration!
  • The Buffet at Aria: Another fantastic buffet, Aria offers high-quality meats, including a carving station with steak and other meat cuts. The variety of food is excellent, and it’s a bit more laid-back than Bellagio, which might be a good option if you're looking for something a bit more relaxed.
  • The Buffet at Caesars Palace: This buffet is huge and offers a wide range of food, including a fantastic meat selection. There are multiple stations with steak, ribs, and other meat choices. It’s an all-around great option for a meat lover like your nephew!
  • The Wicked Spoon Buffet at The Cosmopolitan: The Wicked Spoon is known for its creative and high-quality food, including a nice selection of meats. It's a bit more contemporary in style, and the food presentation is top-notch. They also offer smaller portion sizes, so you can sample a variety of meats and other dishes.

All of these buffets are well-loved in Vegas and offer great options for meat lovers. Since you're willing to splurge a bit, any of these will provide a great experience for you and your nephew, with plenty of meat choices for him to enjoy!

Hope you both have an amazing time in Las Vegas, and enjoy all the food and fun activities! Let me know if you need any more suggestions!
